About Me
Hello and welcome to my studio!!! My name is Kristyn Pook (Hartford), an abstract-realist artist working out of her home in Ontario, Canada with her husband and two small children.
In my artwork, I like to experiment with new techniques, mediums and forms to create a strong emotional piece. My goal is to portray a connection to the piece from within. To draw them in and feel how I felt creating this.
My inspiration comes from many artists from the past including Robert Rauschenberg, Rembrandt, Salvador Dali, and Francisco Goya. Their work and the time periods they each created in have inspired my pieces.
My path to becoming the artist I am today started very young colouring and creating and continued on in high-school. I was told in high school, I am on my way to becoming an illustrator so I decided to continue my artistic creation in University. In University I expanded my knowledge with painting and fell in love with the process and creation of it all.
Starting this year, 2021, I will have the options for purchasing originals and work with you for commission pieces. I am also in hopes to have prints made of the originals. I am also working on more potential gallery settings as well!
